so i think i made a big mistake with coming up the coast to surfers. i was looking forward to going to brisbane to find a job until i learned today that brisbane dosent have a beach......WTF!?!?!?!?!?! i dont know if this is being picky or not but i dont think i can live for a month and a half in australia and not live near a beach. i think im gonna go back to sydney and work on manly beach. its a huge blunder in my trip, and wouldve been smarter to just stay there but you live and learn right? from what i have heard there arnt much as far as bigger towns up the coast and i will prolly have trouble finding work in one of those places. im trying not to blame julia but in the end i am. i think i wouldve been happy to stay here and work but she doesnt. im not going to make my trip about her so, after i leave here tomorrow (for brisbane, ive already booked my ticket and my hostel so i have to go now) im gonna text her to let her know that im going back to sydney. shes starting to drive me a bit nuts anyways. really nice girl but id rather have independence i think. and the two american girls i met at iep are staying in manly so maybe they are looking for another roomate ;) so this sets me back about $300 for airfare from brisbane to sydney and back. not such a huge deal.
i know im all over the place with my future plans but seriously - its really hard to make a decision on anything when you have no idea which is going to be the right one.
mamma i may be calling you tomorrow to hear your opinion on this
love love love

Hi Honey Bunny;
I did wonder why you were gong to Brisbane to find work, although I understand that it's in the "right" direction.
Don't be swayed by someone elses opinion. You do what you think is right The goal right now is to work for the next little while. But, you also want to experience Australia, and as we all know, that means being able to go to the beach whenever you want. But don't dismiss Brisbane all together, you are going to be there for a while, so check it out. Maybe you'll like it after all. You'll be heading up that coast before too long and see lots of beach. So either way is the right way. I don't think going to Surfers was a mistake. You got to stay in one of the most beatiful places in Australia!
Don't sweat the $300.00 plane fare. In the scheme of things.....
We love you and miss you!!
Mamma and Daddy
I think the key is to live in the moment. Sure, there's no beach in Brisbane, but don't write it off before you've seen it.
LOVE YOU!
I agree...the less you have, the more you gain right?
Thanks for the text the other day. It was a nice distraction from a stressful day at work :)
