so after a 16hr bus ride i made it to surfers paradise. it wasent so bad. slept pretty good for being on a bus. met up with julia at sleeping inn and all is pretty good. on the way here we passed through a town called byron bay. i was wishing i could hop off the bus and stay there, it looked so nice. but after talking with julia, we decided to head back down to byron together next week. i think i will head there on thursday (tomorrow or the day after i plan on going to surf school, wednesday a friend of julia's is taking her and i to the jungle for a few hours.) its very nice here, definatly paradise but very hot. the hostel is a converted motel so there is a pool, hot tub and on tuesday nights you can watch movies from inner tubes in the pool. pretty neat - tonight is a free dinner at a bar called shooters so im definatly gona take advantage of that. im starting to take notice of the money situation - NEED TO FIND WORK!!!
so julia and i are gonna see if we can work and get an apartment in byron - i dont really know what her plan is as far as how long she wants to work for or anything but, i have to start doing something thats for sure.
other then that, not much is new - its nice to have someone i know here but at the same time, i was getting used to being alone

ps i got to see the beginning of mardi gras parade yesterday - very interesting! lots of cute boys - too bad they're gay!

i looked byron bay up on wikipedia. it does look amazing. the idea of working and living there for a while is outstanding. you're SO lucky. it was like -20 here the other day.

Byron’s Bay is very close to where Kavita lives, that’s where they go on the weekends to go to the beach . Its nice to know where your at .Reading your blogs really helps us know that your safe and sound.
I’m happy you have made a few new friends, it really does feel like you've been away for weeks. I find myself increasingly want to sell my car sell my stuff quit my job and hop on a place. Kavitas friend got a round the world ticked for 1500 smackeroos. From Australia to Canada to Rome , France Germany , Thailand and where ever else she is going ! Steal of a deal there.
Now for the truth, I’m lonely. I miss you , Kavitas gone ,Klara quit her job , work is hard , and I miss having a close girlfriend. Sometimes all these wieners that hang around aren’t what a girl needs. (sorry guys)
But here we are and I’m not in Australia , I’m doing my best to keep my chin up and I am working hard at getting my life together- school in the fall . But how badly I want to put it all on hold and be free . Free from love and free from responsibility and free to just be. I feel guilty whenever I want to get out of my life here.
But I think of us on the beach , redoing Mexico but 10x times better in surfers paradise . I miss you.
Umm...am I the only one who noticed Alia posted the same session twice? She's already going crazy!! AHHHHHH!!!!!!
