manly beach

so im here in manly - staying in a quaint little hostel not far from the beach but i think i got the boys room! i say that because there are only boys in my room. oh well, its pretty decently cheap and manly is a pretty nice little place, very quaint and small town-ish. i put money down for 1 week stay here although i prolly wont stay that long. still thinking im gonna head up to surfers paradise on monday. i met a girl from germany at sydney central YHA who is heading that way and i do believe we may become travel buddies or flatmates! for a little while at least.

i walked down pittwater road and saw a job opening at a little cafe and thought about going over there to apply. too many options! i really wish someone would just say to me 'alia, do it this way!' and then i would.

i saw an ad for a hostel in newcastle looking for 2 or 3 people to work 2hrs a day, 6days a week for accommodation, free food 4 nights a week and one night a week is $6 all you could eat pizza....so thats an option too - i may call them later

what do u guys think? im gonna take a poll... should I:
  • try to find a job in a hostel that i can stay for free but dont get paid
  • try to find a job that pays but i have to find a flat and flatmates
  • be a bum and not work and just travel

let me know what you think i appreciate your input fo shizzle.

hope you all got to see me on TPIR i heard it was pretty awesome

love much

Hay girl ,
I had to catch up on three days worth of blogs WOWIE :) , you just keep on a posting .

Im the first person to comment and Im hoping that means Im the first person that read this , somehow it feels like than your talking directly to me here on my bed like we would usually :)

I think working is the best plan . stay at the hone that feeds you and puts a roof over your head , than get a paying job on top of it . Working will help you meet more people? Kind of like a new apple family .

So no news here nothing is exciting . I have gas again , but what else is new :) Missin you lots hunny bun , your lucky how many people seem to be keepin up on your blogging your never alone. Never ever.

Ps : I was lookin at the moon today , you know what ? You look at the same moon as me too. Maybe were not as far away from eachother as it seems.

why not work at a hostel and find a job that pays? that way you could live somewhere for free and you'd still be able to make money.

im going to have to agree with both shae and jenn... working at the hostel for 2hrs a day, then finding a paying job will support your travelling habit. lol.

im glad you recieved my text today... i wasn't sure if i put the right number in, but it obviously worked. and i didn't want to text until i knew the time difference, i just asked my sister. she knows. it's our time, minus 6 hours. and your a day ahead. neat! OH... depending on where your going to stay, my sister, somehow knows a couple people that live there, so maybe i'll let her know the location and get back to you. shrug... maybe they'll have an idea where to get a job?!?

well im going to sleep, i know it's only 8 o'clock here, but i was up at 4:30 with brooke... and no afternoon nap. and im catching a cold. urg. and i can't take ANYTHING.. but sleep.

so take care.

Hi Everyone;

I always figure the time out this way, if it's 10pm here, I add 12 hours, so 10am and then add 6 hours. So, if it is 10pm on Wednesday night here, then it is 4pm Thursday in Australia. There is a really nice World Clock web page on the internet as well.

Hey, we watched TPIR tonight. WOOHOO, WOOHOO, WOOHOO. We saw all four of the Canadian bunch several times! You all looked fabulous! Way to go.

Time for bed. Up early for work. Work, work, work. ugh.

Love to all
Mum

I think you should do whatever you feel would be the most fun. After all...that's what the trip is about right?
