another day in sydney - today i actually made it out of the hostel...TWICE! i walked down george street to find 333 george street where i will have the IEP orientation...either tomorrow or wednesday. found a post office along the way AND i found martin place as well, where the bank i need to go is so its all good. tomorrow will be a busy day which makes me happy! and after crashing in the tv room for a few hours decided to take another walk, down pitt street - im in an internet cafe right now, sort of half looking for some sort of grocery store. thinking about cooking my dinner tonight.
ive sort've decided that im not going to stick around sydney long. this is such a huge city. im kind of overwhelmed by it and there are just SO many options. i think i will go to my orientation tomorrow, go to the bank, etc. etc - book a city tour of sydney for tuesday, maybe hit the beach one of those days and then header up the coast - to a smaller beach city where i can work for a while and learn to surf. i was thinking noosa - its north of brisbane near the whitsundays i do believe.
ive also been in contact with a guy named jamie who is from nova scotia i believe...anyways he's flying in on wednesday and he mentioned traveling up the coast to work too so...maybe a friend? a good old canuck to be a travel buddy? cant wait. i hope it works out. and he'd better be good looking or what am i gonna do!? hah just kidding
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!! this wednesday, feb 28 i, alia beth schimanke, will be making my television debut on da,da,da THE PRICE IS RIGHT!! watch as my fellow companions and i shout 'oh wow!!' and 'OOOOOhhh, ahhhhH!' at various bedroom sets and trips to puerto vallarta mexico. 11am mountain standard time on CBS

I'm also the only one who will respond to you during your daytime over there...since I work so many nights...which get slow sometimes so I'm on the internet a lot...
So anyways, yes the phone is worth it. Unless you want COMPLETE isolation from those who love you:)
So let us know if you do and we can let you know when's a good time to call. For me it's anytime between 8:00 and 9:00 (am and pm)

It's so nice to click on your bookmarked blog and find you have made another posting.
Before you buy the phone find out how much the long distance cost is. I looked into the world phone here and while the phone didn't cost that much, the long distance plan was really expensive. Make sure too that the phone is a world phone. Just being a Mum.
It will be nice for you to have someone to travel with. How old is this Jamie guy? How did you meet him on the internet? A smaller town might be harder to get a job. Ask the counseller at SWAP what he thinks.
Be careful Honey Bunny. Something new here. We got a new.....SHOWER CURTAIN! It's really pretty. Hummm, that's about it. Jenn and Noodle are coming over later. Phoebe makes a lot of noise now. I wonder what she will think of seeing Noodle again! I'll let you know.

sorry it's been so long since i sent some love. lol. adam and i actually got the weekend to ourselves. mom and dad took brooke for the weekend, it did adam and i good to just be together, just the two of us.
im glad to hear your flights went well, yet again. as you mention city's along the way, i've been going online and checking them out. there it ALOT to do in sydney. WOW. im still not to sure about the bats. lol. there kinda... creepy. i hope your potential travel parner is good looking. or at least has a killer personality. lol.
about the phone. i would call, and text, but im not going to lie.. i wouldn't all the time. but i would occasionally. but you asked for our opinions, and there's mine.

Today we went snowtubing at SunRidge with Vita and Ben.D before she heads back to Australia, would it be ok if I gave her your email so that maybe if you get lonely or need a tour guide she could email you ?

i think i agree with your mom about checking how much it's gonna cost you for long distance (that's that mom thing in me comin out again :P ) i would of course text you whenever i had some free time which is fairly frequently in my lo0o0o0ng spares at school
